SIDEKICKS

Growing up, Colin was heavily influenced by building blocks and sneakers. The creation of “Sidekicks” revolves around characters constructed from primitive shapes to create simple, yet bold figures while styling them with his favorite kicks. The characters embody a fun and playful energy which aim to evoke happiness in the viewer. He confines the body to a simplified form to represent that humans are all made of the same shapes and it is our actions and personalities that should represent who we truly are. The motivation behind these characters came from fusing his background of design with his fiances background of fashion. The idea was to create a world that represented their overlap for their love of art and creativity.
